Cospace
Privacy Policy
Last updated 4 October 2026
Cospace has no accounts. The name on your Coscard can be anything you like, and we don't know
who you are.
Your cosplays stay with you
Your cosplays, photos, notes, and reminders are stored on your device. If you turn on backup,
they are copied to your own Google Drive, which we cannot access. Reminders are scheduled on
your device.
Google Drive backup
Backup is optional and needs Cospace Star. When you turn it on or restore from a backup, you
sign in with Google and Cospace asks for one permission: to see, create, and delete its own
files in a hidden folder in your Google Drive. Cospace cannot see any other files in your
Drive.
-
What is backed up: your cosplays, costumes, events, items, notes,
reminders, photos, your Coscard details and membership number, and your settings.
-
What Cospace gets from Google: your Google account's email address, shown
in Settings so you know which account is backing up, and access to that hidden folder. Both
stay on your device. Your sign-in, the email address, and the backup itself are never sent
to our server or anyone else.
-
What it is used for: only to back up your data and restore it when you ask.
We don't use it for advertising, analytics, or training AI models, and no person at Cospace
can read it.
Cospace's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can turn backup off in Settings at any time, which signs Cospace out of Google. To remove
Cospace's access entirely, go to
your Google account's connections. To
delete the backup, open Google Drive, go to Settings, then Manage apps, and delete Cospace's
hidden app data.
What leaves your device
-
Membership number. Your device generates a random ID, and our server gives
it the number printed on your Coscard. That is all we store.
-
Analytics and crash reports, through
PostHog: which buttons you tap, errors and
crashes, your device model, OS and app version, and an approximate location derived from
your IP address. These are tied to a random ID, not to you.
-
Purchases, through
RevenueCat: your random ID and your
purchase history, so Cospace Star works on your device and comes back after a reinstall.
Payment is handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
-
Backups, only if you turn them on: your data goes to your own Google Drive,
as described above.
-
Feedback, only when you send it: your message, your email if you give it so
we can reply, and your app version, device model, OS, plan, and random ID are sent to us.
-
Sharing. When you share a Coscard or a photo, it goes only to the app you
pick. Sharing to Instagram or Facebook hands the image to Meta's app. We don't send Meta any
other data.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, show ads, track you across other apps and websites, or use your data
to train AI models.
Deleting your data
To delete everything stored on your device, use Delete all data in Settings, or delete the
app. Backups in your Google Drive are yours to delete, as described above. Since we can't tell
who you are, we can't find your analytics data from your name or email.
Children
Cospace is not meant for children under 16.
